Anakin Skywalker is equipped with a pair of lightsabers. Padme is armed with a blaster pistol. In Episode II, Anakin and Padme disregard the orders given to Anakin and travel to Geonosis to rescue Obi-Wan.

Initially they infiltrate a droid factory and are captured. Anakin and Padme are conveyed to a coliseum and imprisoned alongside Obi-Wan for execution.
